‘Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.’ The much awaited 6th Annual Sports Day was held on Friday 16th June 2017. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students who entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with an opening ceremony march & dance. This was followed by an energizing exercise drill which set the tone for the rest of the event.
Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The students competed in various events such as aqua balancing, balloon bursting, smart reader among others and not to forget some fun time with a few parents’ races which added to the enjoyment.
The sports day showcased the skills and exercises practiced by our young sports enthusiasts every day & the inter-house competition encouraged teamwork and a friendly & healthy competition. The day ended with an award ceremony & the winners emerged as follows;
Best overall team – Red Kites
1st runners up – Hawks
